In answering your question, I thought about the ways I “love” people: cooking for them, helping them by running their errands, spending time with them doing things THEY love doing.
The time I spend doing these things, I could be doing art projects or other things for myself…that’s the ‘cost’. And, I might add, TOTALLY worth it. “My” things can always be done later.
I would say I agree with that. When I love someone I am risking part of my heart on them. And risking my heart costs.
Glad to see your name highlighted on my google reader today
