Mid-Year Resolutions

Most people have beginning of the year goals: AKA new years resolutions. These resolutions last about 2 weeks and are often forgotten. Because of that I’d like to make a few mid-year goals. Want to join me?

2009 Mid year goals:

Physical: It might be funny to say, but I’d really like to I WILL get into a two-piece bathing suit this summer. I’ve never worn a two-piece and been comfortable in it. This year is the year to be different. I would like to reach this goal by June 15th.

Financial: I’d like to I WILL pay off my car by the end of the year—December 2009

Writing: I WILL have the first draft of my book written by December 2009. (If I don’t I will lose my brand new MAC book given to me from an influential person in my life! That was the deal!) I WILL have the first chapter written by April 15th.

Ministry: I WILL be revamping my website to upload videos and get on a speakers rotation so that I can have more opportunities to speak. This will happen by July 2009.

What about you?

Do you have some mid-year goals you’d like to share? Writing them out raises the percentage you will reach them! Share!

This is great! Love reading about your goals! You can do it!!! As for mine:

Physical: I WILL start (and FINISH) a half-marathon by the end of the day, April 26th. After that, I’ll continue working on my 6-pack. 😉

Relational: I WILL successfully make it through the next 60 days of wedding planning with as little stress/drama as possible and become a Meadows! :) This will all culminate May 29th.

Creative: I WILL develop a specific, action-oriented vision and business plan for my creativity/design business by September 1 and begin putting it into action.

To still be working out! haha… i have slowed down recently due to time constraints…. but thats a weak excuse! I need to get in serious shape… my wife is good at keeping me in line… i just have to listen to her!

  • This was the perfect “kick” I needed. Thanks for being such a good example and motivator.

Caffeine – I AM lessening my Dt. Coke consumption. So far today (Day One) I haven’t had a single one. Normally I would have had at least 3 by this point. : )

Physical – I have been telling myself that I would get up 30 minutes early and go for a walk that will later turn into a jog that will later turn into a run. It has yet to happen, but I WILL, starting tomorrow morning! (Check back and make sure I did, please!) : p

House: I WILL spend at least 15 minutes a day tending to something around the house. Be it wiping down the kitchen counters, vacuuming or folding laundry. 15 minutes!

Thanks Anna for making me stop and think about some obtainable goals! I’ve been thinkin’ it over since last night!
